Water leaking from lower back area of engine 2 days ago, didn't overheat.

What engine, 2.5 V/6 or 2.0 4cyl ?

possibly heater hoses (or bypass hoses) are leaking...if you REALLY are on a budget...ask your mechanic to bypass the leak on the hose....and good luck finding a mechanic on SUNDAY....
