Fuel consumption is a tricky issue to tackle. Very rarely is a performance problem in the engine or power train actually present that would diminish fuel economy. Vehicles today are so highly sensitive to any failures that you would get warning lights appearing should something affecting fuel economy malfunction. So many factors affect economy. The type of driving, the temperature, the environment, loads being carried, local verses highway driving, wind... It's very subjective. Under controlled circumstances, I would propose to you that using the proper fuel grade you would get close to the EPA posted estimated miles per gallon number. But in the real world, so many things vary that it's difficult to have a real number that is consistent and valid.
As of the resent increase in fuel prices - it seems my vehicle is burning more gas than usual too! However sometimes my son will borrow my vehicle - usually he doesn't bother to re-fuel.. â¬›ï¸ https://repairpal.com/repair-shops ⬛ï¸
