What is your question?
Independent garage says they had nothing to do with light coming on but searching internet find that this can occur when proper care isn't used to protect wiring.

Tarheel Person, have you checked to see if either one on rear, and front is unplugged,or wires damaged?
No, I haven't check any of the wiring. Mechanic said he had nothing to do with the ABS.
it was not like that when you took it in,but is now.yeah, they may say that.i would look to see if you find anything.
I was hoping to find a parts store with an ABS code reader...if it's the rear then no question it was them. I just need the facts to go back to them. If wires can be disconnected at the hubs/wheels then that's easy enough to check. Thanks.
none of the autoparts are going to have an abs code reader.they only have obd2 scan tool.you could call or go by a local brake shop and ask them if they charge to check it,to make sure.if its 4 wheel abs, there is a sensor on each one.
I'm headed back to the garage to see if we can pull the wheels/tires and look for the obvious. I have checked with parts stores and yes...they say they don't have the ABS code readers but may check around to other stores. Don't think I'll get much help there. Didn't think of the brake shop idea...thanks.
