My battery died and want to push my car out of the spot

My battery died and I'm trying to push it out of the spot its in to get a jump start but my gear shift is locked and I can't out it in neutral how can I unlock the gear shift with no battery?

Just above the P on shifter console is a little cover that almost looks like a button, remove this little cover then use a small screwdriver or the car key - while pushing down on the release inside - shift to neutral... Works every time!
