Front axle replacement vs. seal replacement

What is your question?

I am not experiencing a problem, I was told by the dealer there was leaking around front axle, they recommend and encourage replace front axles, the Cost $1100. Why wouldn’t they recommend replace seals? No oil found in my garage where I park car. I was told this a few oil changes ago, but have yet to do anything.

What makes this problem better or worse?
