Engine will red line if you are not careful. Travel speed is very low. Transmission seems to be stuck in low. This only happens when speedometer stops working.

First immediate thought is vehicle speed sensor / circuit .. However that is not the only possibility by any means. *Hands-on* diagnostic testing will be required by qualified personnel.
