What is your question?
I just put new torque cans in my car and all the seals and everything is new, the car is properly timed both mechanically, and the ignition, yet my car does not want to start properly (it has issues getting into idle speed), to get it to start I have to give it some gas and even then I have to use the gad pedal to keep the throttle at the right rpms until the car will idle on its own. Please help I'm at a loss

So , if I'm understanding your post, the cams you installed are NOT OEM (stock style) profile? Any other mods?
Check engine light on?... What are the code #'s?
No not anymore, but since it's obd1 it's a little more complicated but going back and getting the code history of recent codes that are still having issues the maf sensor code is the only one there the code is a 23 also even when I can get the car to idle at 750 rpms it will die when. Put in gear
Vacuum leak? (I hope) ....Cam specs like, lift, duration, centerline & overlap designed to match an otherwise stock engine?? How radical are the cams... If auto trans..... Stall converter recommended? If yes...@ what rpm? Does Manufacture recommend degreeing cam gears? Run ok before this work was done?... Ok, I really don't know squat about engine mods but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express one time!! ... That count?
Holiday Inn Express is way over my budget , I was thinking along the lines of incompatibility with PCM software , but..................???IAC valve??.....I'm lost.....it's not a big block , right?
Yah I know somebody who has the same car same cams and all so yeah I thought maybe vacuum leak but I'd where lol I checked all my lines already but none are undone and no haha its a 2.7 liter boxer engine 1991 it sounds like a v8 though;)
Is the EGR still hooked up? I haven't done a bunch of googling on this , but with the cams you installed , I'm wondering if the manifold pressure readings aren't screwing with the EGR control. You don't have any access to a scanner that can read 'live data' on that do you? Temporarily block off EGR and see what happens.......can't hurt.......?
We're scanners in depth enough in an OBD 1 syst to allow me to see a live data feed?
The right ones were , unfortunately , I couldn't begin to guess what subaru had available at the time. Do you have a Subaru dealer near you with any really old techs? Any 'tuner' shops in your area?
Yah they are torquer cams, I've fabbed my intake to accommodate all of the breathers and such that go to the valve cover and sensors, my car is equipped with an MSD Blaster 2 coil and magnecore spark plug wires, along with NKG Iridium plugs, I did a compression check and it's good, I also replaced the head gaskets when I did the cam change. The car also has an airaid symthamax dry filter on it before the maf... I did get a maf code as well, but the maf does not appear damaged and I could clean it but the screen is clear. I usually wouldn't have an issue but I'm at wits end. The distributor is turning and there is no moisture in the cap, I just don't know why but it will like start... but won't catch idle and die shortly after unless I give it some throttle
