Wouldn't start no crank, went to look for starter.came back an hour later..car started no problem.did nothing to it

‘Heat soak’ will further degrade a failing starter motor.. Once cooled it will function again.. That’s about all the assistance I can offer here.

Heat soak comes from fully warm engine - more pronounced once engine is switched off due to NO airflow to cool engine bay - - until it ‘naturally’ cools back down somewhat. Best ONLINE guess.. Good luck!
