Engine stop on idle at red light or in traffic jam.
What is your question?
After around one minute on idle, rpm is going down slowly and then stop, no light appers before stopping, just like if i turn the key to off... And after that when i trying to start the engine...it's start then notting, it can take up to a minute to restart (10 try) and after it's start for real and run very well like notting happened...
The car is 2 years old and 37000 km. Subaru dealer did and update on engine computer but noting change, problem still there...
Can you help me?
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 2012 Subaru Impreza. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
The problem is the car is stalling not the warranty... When i bought it i knew there was no warranty, it's been more than a year that the car is running well, except the past two weeks that it's stalling on red light or in traffic jam after one minute on idle with feet on brake pedal.
Okay , forget the warranty , my bad , but as for the stall , no re-start issue , probably the only way that will be diagnosed , besides guessing on 'most likely' parts , is by having someone riding along on a test drive while monitoring 'live data'. To me , though , it sounds like a problem in the 'idle control' circuit possibly a poor connection at a harness connector or an intermittently sticking idle air control valve (back to the 'guessing
' part).
No, the car was rebuilt after an accident in the back(few dammage), and warranty has been cut, but the problem don't come from that accident
Unless the car was considered totaled , I would fight that decision with Subaru and ins. co.!
