the ac fan switch has 5 position, off and 4 fan speeds. the 2 highest fan speeds no longer work but the lower 2 still do. Any thoughts on what the problem is? I have a 2011 subaru impreza. thanks, kj
What is your question?
As stated above, the fan switch is malfunctioning. AC works as 2 lower fan speeds but not in the 2 highest speeds. Blows cold when working and lights come on the AC button.

Not sure i understand your comment. Are you saying that one should or should not suspect the problem is the blower motor resister? Does the resistor control all speeds or just the lower 2 speeds?
Blower motor resistor is what actually regulates motor speeds - the blower motor speed selector ‘switches’ rarely fail.
