why does a belt keep breaking on my 2005 Saabaru?

A belt was just replaced. The car is a 2005 Saabaru, the interior is a Saab, the mechanics are a Subaru Impreza. It has 160,00 miles on it. I bought it used. The indicator lights that are on: check engine, cruise light is blinking, battery, brake.

What makes this problem better or worse?

i don't notice anything.
