While driving, a solid check engine light with a blinking cruise light just came on. Can not turn off the cruise light manually.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Have the failure that has caused the check engine light to illuminate and the cruise control system will be fixed as well .. Cruise control is rendered inoperative anytime there is an engine operating system malfunction. Highly recommend 'professional' scan test!
