motor or engine bearing possible cause of horrible noise?

What is your question?

Tension pulley and tension bracket needs replacement and was told motor bearing might have to be replaced as well, which would be so expensive I should not get fixed. Said very labor intensive. my question is, How much to fix the bearing if this is the cause?

Crankshaft (main bearings) require the block (case) to be split , I'd suggest getting a second opinion from another shop.

2 guys both said it-one rebuilds cars and one repairs race cars but can't be sure (they said) till take apart
