What is your question?
All other lights seem to work properly but the high beams only operate with the momentary switch when you pull it towards you. You can not turn them on fully either. The fuses are good and I have not located a relay of any kind. Are they controlled through the computer? I seem to have 12v constant at the connector suggesting the negative is the switched portion? I'm trying to fix this quickly for my mother and can't afford to just throw money at it. HELP
Regardless of prior testing - this TEST needs to be performed.. IF unfamiliar with how to TEST fuses - seek *hands-on* help from qualified personnel. Good luck!
Thanks. As stated, the fuses are good. They all tested out fine. This is something deeper. Any other thoughts that would explain it?
I have the dimmer switch out and it seems to be testing fine with respect to continuity as well. This is why I'm curious about the computer operation.
Ohm test BOTH of the bulbs! Check for power and ground at headlight wire connector. Use Google - may find a free - downloadable schematic online.
Thanks again...update! I cleaned several contacts inside the switch even though my multimeter read it fine and they are working! I'm gonna buy a new dimmer switch to fix it properly. Thanks again.
Good luck!
I have the exact same issue as described by you but from your comment I can't understand where the problem was and how you fixed it. Can you please provide more detailed info on how and where you fixed this! Regards,
