Was the battery and alternator bad? Can you run scan data to give us more information on sensor outputs.
There is a reflash for hard to start at really cold temperatures. See if the PCM's software is up to date.
battery was weak. alternator was fine. no codes showing
I'm not asking you for the codes, We just need to know some of the information about what the sensors are reading for a possibility of telling your problem. This is how we fix cars, to see what the computer is reading, and why it doesn't start. With no codes showing, that means the computer doesn't see a problem. That's where we come in, to see what is happening, and correct the problem and the computer will receive the correct information it needs for the car to start.
what do i need to do to get that information?
You need a scanner, not just a code reader, and run the engine data with the scanner. That is the information we need, Ect temperature, IAT temp, for starters. If you don't have the capability of this and don't want to spend a few hundred dollars to purchase one, take it to a good drivability Technician.
ok thanks. my friend has one. will let you know what i find tomorrow
