Posted symptoms are indicative of an alternator malfunction - however this vehicle incorporates a specific system that is far from a conventional charging system used on non hybrid vehicles.. Not recommended for attempted diy repair. *Hands-on* testing by qualifying personnel will be required for proper diagnosis.. Good luck!

So keeping in mind that it is a hybrid I didn't have issues with any power source problems at all if an alternator was to fail when it shows signs secondly the lights were on and all that I'm in the next day I haven't drove the car in the meantime I want to go start the car notice the battery was almost dead I called the roadside service it's a ground positive ground negative jump the car and when he went to go do that the car just wouldn't turn and now when they take the jumper cables off the ground positive or negative completely no power to the car whatsoever I'll keep this in mind I haven't moved or drove the car at all even when it was charging the battery and this was a new battery that's only maybe a couple months old but mainly what I'm saying is that the alternator went to show symptoms before it would fail I went just happen overnight with it especially if you haven't drove the car cuz I don't know what would be sucking the juice from the battery especially if the car hasn't been moving and I know the alternator wouldn't do that?
Yes - in fact the alternator can indeed drain the battery in short order.. Testing required. Hopefully the person doing the jump start knew how it’s supposed to be done. I hope you have good luck with it!
Yeah I called him through my OnStar service so something like that did happen it will be covered I just have to file a damage report other than Matt doesn't usually an alternator show some kind of signs that are or indication before it would just fail and not just happen overnight especially when the car hasn't been driven cuz it was a okay and then that's why I'm almost thinking it might be that roadside service fault I don't know that's why I'm asking let's just to go experience usually would show some kind of signs before an alternator fails to which I didn't have but on the other hand I did just get the battery replaced so maybe that could even be but I would have to have further testing I know there's so many different symptoms but usually an alternator went just fail without any kind of sign would it?
