What is your question?
5 years ago, the dealership charged me $321 because freon was low and cabin air was dirty. after i picked up the vehicle everything was the same except i was out $321. They looked at it again and said everything was ok. It still blew hot air when idling. I gave up and we just deal with the issue in this hot Texas weather. ( CCR, Dye, Ref, Filter & Labor ) 101,500 miles.

its probably the scroll valve, these units have a scroll compressor , and a small plate on back of compressor ,with two bolts, inside is a control unit about the size of a small hen egg, it also has a little filter in the hole, you will have to look it up on some of the forums, but i replaced on a 2006 saturn vue 3.5 eng, same problems as yours, everything fine now, several shops told her ( either compressor going bad to low freon), it works perfect after replacing the little filter and scroll valve controller
yeah,i relayed that info to someone on another question about the same issue, and it was only a $40.00 fix,but they told me they were taking it to the DEALER and not interested in trying to fix it.i even gave them the web-site for ordering the part, and the part number on the part.if i remember right it was v001.
You right, it was about $40 at advanced auto, but i had to buy a filter dryer, cause left it opened for a day, waiting on o ring kit, total cost freon etc, 138$, as i recalled the dealer wanted aprx 900+ to do this..
that would be the "STEALERSHIP" 70% of the people on this site asking questions have already been there and got the story about what it MIGHT BE,but more testing will have to be done!after paying them all that money, they now have worse problems, than what they had to start with.why they believe in the DEALER i will never know.dealer, dealer, dealer!!!!only go to the dealer if it's a recall and/or FREE!there are several on here,if you explain what your problem is,they answer SPOT ON!but some don't won't to get them hands a little dirty, fix it their self and save a TON of money, and the info here is FREE!ok,i'm done b------g.here is the link to the scroll valve i sent the others recently.
