What is your question?
My Vue hasn't leaked oil before now. I have a garage and it's easy to see those things. My wife called me when she was on her way home and said it smelled like something was burning and was smoking a little. I had her check her temp gauge and it wasn't overheating. When she got home it was ticking and when I popped the hood, oil was everywhere. I checked the dip stick and it was empty. I filled the oil and put cardboard under the car, started it and waited to watch for it to leak. Looks like it may be coming from the front of the engine area. The oil cap has a milky white substance on it and the inside of the filler neck has it in there too. Please help!

I would check the PCV system to see if it's clogged up. On this engine, they have what is called an oil separator housing unit. If your not the mechanical type, it's best to take it to a shop. Also,3.0 engines have had had troubles with rear main seals.
TOW IT TO A SHOP AND GET A DIAG TO BE SURE AND NOT CAUSE ANY MORE DAMAGE
