My car will not start. The lights go on in thedash board but no starter activity. In the past if i wiggled the orange chime box under the air condionter controls it would start right up. I replaced the chime box but it will not start.

if the battery has a full charge on it and it's not bad,then you will need a helper and a volt meter. have the helper turn the key to try and crank/start the car while you check the small wire on the starter for battery voltage.if you have battery voltage on that wire and the starter does not attempt to spin the starter or the engine over,then the starter is probably bad.if you have NO battery voltage to this wire while the key is turned trying to crank/start the car,then suspect the ignition switch is bad.
