Any codes?.. Check engine light on??

Check engone light comes and goes but never seems to be on long enough to get the codes off.

Computer has memory.. If light came on it should have codes .... Have it scan tested with a real scanner, not a code reader!

Will the engine rev up and stay there if it's in park or neutral?..will it idle at all?
