where is the transmission control module and the A-B shift solenoid located?

2006 saturn ion 2 2.2L the transmision will change from 1 to 2 but it want change to 3 it have a jerk to it when it change from 1 to 2 the codes are PO700 and PO977 which one of these codes will fix the problem? is there some kind of liquid i can put into the transmissionn to fix it? how do i check the fluid level? it don't have a dip stick. hope you can help me.

Ok, So the issue could be the transmission control module (TCM), the wiring harness between the control module and the transmission (the large one), or it could be the solenoid (inside the transmission). I would also check fuse 12 under the hood. The best advice is to seek professional diagnostics. This issue can be identified VERY quickly with a scan tool, or cost lots of time and money having parts thrown at it. Checking the fluid level requires the removal of the fill plug on the side of the transmission underneath the CV axle. Never put additives that claim they fix things. As a general rule, they do harm, not good.

A diagnostic scanner(scan tool) or a code reader(reads codes)? Code readers will not help you here. You need at least a tech II.
