Why does seal keep popping when clutch is pressed?

The little black cap seal on the clutch cable keeps popping off when clutch pedal is pressed. Brand new clutch just installed and can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong.

Not equipped with clutch CABLE - - has hydraulic system .. Hairpin clip is not retaining the line in place - clip is out of position - damaged or missing.
