What is your question?
I usually use mid grade gas. Gas station put premium in when I said plus. I was in a hurry so I didnt catch on till I pulled over. I drove about a hr on freeway next noticed it felt like it was not accelerating right. Today I drove 20 miles to take my hubby to work and on my way back it started going limp no acceleration hardly and started shaking. Barely made it home. I have had p0638 come and go for like 2 months. But I usually turn it off and on rev up rpms while in park and drop it in reverse and go forward and it usually goes back to normal.
What makes this problem better or worse?
After I drove today then had heater on and was in the car sitting for 15 minutes and then drove it started shaking like it was gonna run out of power. I did notice last night and while the heater was on today the heat wasnt blowing as good as normal
How long has your 2005 Saab 9-3 had this problem?

Not related to fuel octane. Here is a handy and informative link: https://www.engine-codes.com/
I believe pushrod knows a thing or 2,because he has seen a thing or 2,FACT! As he has been in the Auto Repair Business for over 45 years! Need quality (high dollar) profession scan tool testing for reading live data parameters! should have freeze-frame data stored.
