So i took my vibe in for the airbag recall when i got the car back the "VSC Off" light was flashing and the Traction control light was on . Also the car was automatically engaging the traction. so when you drove the traction control was engaging thinking that we were skidding on the road . The airbag recall could it affect the VSC and the traction control , did the mechanic pull/thug on the wiring for it . I read that the spiral cable assembly and ffc were touched in the airbag recall someone please help thank you

rturn for warranty work.sounds like they tripped a code and didn't clear them.were they on when you picked it up or did they come on after driving?
Chackara, The exact same thing happened to our Vibe and it is still at the dealer for them to figure out. How did the airbag recall cause the traction control problem? What was the end result? many thanks Romulus1
so it happened 1-2 min after i picked up the car on the road going 60km/hr+ lights came on "Vsc Off" flashing and traction control solid light on and the vehicle was engaging the traction control physically make loud noises thinking that the car was slipping . Also when i took it back i turned off the car(Had to a firefighter was there for some odd reason and told me to turn it off due to carbon monoxide) ...when turning it back on the lights went away . But the good thing is that when the service manager took it for test drive happened with him. all i did was take it in for the vibe air bag module recall , now i dont know what they did if they had to do some flashing of the other modules or something else not to sure what that could cause this issue this is the recall i sent it for "The steering column assembly contains electrical connections for the driver's airbag, commonly called the "clock spring". This spiral cable assembly includes a Flexible Flat Cable (FFC). Due to the shape and location of the FFC's retainer, the FFC could become damaged when the steering wheel is turned. If the FFC is damaged, the driver's airbag could be deactivated. The failure of the driver's airbag to deploy when required increases the risk of injury to the driver. When the parts are available, dealers will replace the spiral cable assembly to correct this concern."--------------------so i the dealership called me said that the program was not accepted on the coil , had to be reprogrammed
