Motor on wipers turns but wipers don't move

the linkage/transmission has broken a bushing most likely and the linkage is just laying there.it's most likely fixable.need to inspect the area to see exactly what happened.hope it's not the transmission broken,it's costly.

I agree with # 1 however due to the complexity of the 'wiper park eccentric' that is attached to the wiper motor.. Strongly suggest having repair shop take a look at it.. That flat plate (park eccentric) has many parts to it and is easily fouled up to the point it can only be replaced ... and is no need to if kept in tact.... Just don't fool with THAT particular part when checking!
