Why would my driver door and passenger door both quit opening from the inside at the same time but will open from the outside

REAR doors are equipped with child safety locks - when activated - the REAR doors can only be opened from the OUTSIDE.. This has to be a mechanical failure within ‘each’ of the FRONT doors.. Assuming with engine off, front windows lowered and doors unlocked - standing outside vehicle - can open doors from outside only - - can’t reach through window and open doors using the inside handle - - - just for testing. Standing outside of vehicle - engine off - - for testing!
