I got power, but when I attempt to start it, there is a click and nothing.

someone got their money's worth out of that there battery,8 years old.have battery tested,most likely bad.you can have it tested at AZ,ADV,NAPA,ORLY,its free.if it will jump off from another vehicle,take it to one of these places,and have it checked.they may or may not install it for you,cause they might say it takes to long on yours.
