What causes severe power loss?

What is your question?

Sunfire GT. Wont Rev past 4k. Very slow accelaration. When r.p.M's reach 4k lose most if not all power. Cat??? Fuel pump?? Not sure where to start.

Start by testing to help diagnose problem!... Full scan test with live data view, engine vacuum test, fuel pressure test.. Anything less than that is only guessing at it... Anybody can do that but... It doesn't help!

Thanks. Previously the check engine light read cat & 02 sensor. Light went off by itself for Months ago. Yesterday the anti-theft light came on a few times which immediately killed the engine. Any relation? I will try to have a full diagnostic done soon.
