I ran out of gas, after I refueled the van would not start, like it was starving

probably burned the fuel pump up.should not ever run out of gas.when fuel gauge gets on 1/4 of a tank,consider that as EMPTY,and go put gas in it.keeping the fuel pump covered in fuel is what keeps the fuel pump motor cool and running smoothly.if no fuel covering it,then the pump gets hot and could/will burn out the motor.costly to,over $300.00 if you buy it yourself.then you have to drop the tank to install it.have a mechanic check the fuel pressure.
