What is your question?
put a new battery in yesterday, a rebuilt starter, and alternator last week.trying to start it,it would not start. So I used a NOCO GB 20 to jump it It started right up.I left it running for about 1/2 hour. I shut her off, and this morning the battery is so dead, that it will not take a jump.
What makes this problem better or worse?
N/A
Now > ‘IF’ the starter failed to engage immediately following battery replacement - either the battery is defective - OR - the battery cables are not making sufficient contact with the battery terminals .. Keep on mind that jump starting sends power directly to the cables regardless - that’s why it started when jumped .. Many times the engine can be ‘jump started’ WITHOUT a battery under hood - provided you’re using a good strong jump start source.. Once the engine is started - the alternator alone provides the necessary power to keep it running. It ain’t as cut and dried as it seems!
