I replaced passenger head light motor, now the lights move in opposite direction

Is there any way you possibly reversed the wire connector when hooking it up? .. In any event if you could reverse the connector from the way it is now it should make the headlight door move in the opposite direction when lights are turned on-off... Wires may have been reversed on the replacement motor to start with... Do the motor wire colors match up with car wire colors?
