Intermittent overheating no leak thermostat replaced what is it

Bought used 2005 Pontiac Aztek with 50,000 miles 3 months ago. It has run fine. Now has 53,000 miles and overheated on first drive of day 2-3 miles into trip. Mechanic checked and pressure is fine, no leaks, replaced thermostat. Drove 5 days and it overheated again a couple miles into drive after car had been sitting. Mechanic checked again. Pressure is still fine, can't find any leaks. He suggests taking it to have it pressure flushed and then replace Dex-cool with green coolant. Suggestions?
