growling/purring sound when idling, what is the cause and how do I fix it
What is your question?
Idles, then it growls for a few minutes, then idles again, drives fine otherwise. It's a 1998 Plymouth Breeze, about 85039 miles 2.4L engine. Sometimes there is a high pinging sound. Oil changed last summer, radiator flushed, air filter replaced as well. Does leak a little oil, I keep an eye on it. Sometimes the low gas light comes on even tho the tank is full, wonder if the gauge has stopped working. I don't think it is accurate.
