What is your question?
I replaced the light switch with a guaranteed part. Where do I go from there. I'm not mechanically inclined but I'm trying. Been driving at night with my hazards on.
RepairPal Certified shops can diagnose and repair your 1998 Oldsmobile Regency. They provide transparent pricing with a minimum 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty on repairs and services.
WHEN in the sequence of events after installing good fuse , does it 'blow'? Right away, or after parking lights turned on? Maybe start by unplugging taillamp assemblies , in order to rule out any bad wire/short-to-ground in them , then go from there.
Do you have a 'circuit diagram' to use as a reference? IF not do you have a volt-ohmmeter to use for testing , at least? My suggestion would be to start by unplugging all known involved components in affected circuit and test individual wires for short to ground , or to other wires in circuit. IF you unplug both tail light assemblies , does the fuse still blow?
