what makes the ignition module so hot that it will kill engine and not start?

What is your question?

This vehicle will die and when it cools down it will start back up no problem. I have replaced the ignition module due to when you move it the car will start but due to heat this is killing them and these things are expensive to keep replacing. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. this is driving me insane.

They were known to go but you must be getting cheap 1s Maybe you need ac delco .

I bought an AC Delco this last time and it has gone out again. They are not lasting. It gets EXTREMELY hot and will kill the motor. when I push on the connector car will start again and run but will die right soon after until the motor completely cools off.

Crank sensor! Connects to the module, that is one of those connectors! Also possible high secondary resistance from coil(s)! In other words it needs some testing!
