I have a 2002 intrigue it won't start why?

you say wont start?does that mean it cranks over,and not starting engine?can you hear the fuel pump come on in the tank,when you first turn key to on,not start.every time key is turned to on,the fuel pump primes the line for 2 seconds,and then shuts off.you can get a helper to check this while someone turns key to on.listen close,wont be real loud.
