Engine turns over but no-start

What is your question?

I just recently pulled the engine to perform repairs, after I put it back in and hooked everything up, checking for proper connections and the correct installation procedures where used along the one, when I go to start it, it turns over four or five times and then stops with a clunk

Did you remove the distributor assembly from the engine at any time?

yes, When I Installed it back into the vehicle, I found TDC and aligned the white mark on the end of the distributor with the drilled hole at the very bottom, as I was installing it i made sure the rotor aligned with the 6 on the top of the distributor, had to take it out several times to make sure things were lined up, but it is a good possibility I may not have installed it correctly the haynes manual doesnt go into specifics, are there two marks on the front cover above the crankshaft pulley?

Remove # 1 (front) spark plug on drivers side and put finger on plug hole... Have helper 'bump' starter until you feel compression start to come from cylinder... Now put crank on TDC (check piston for TDC if needed) ... Now check dist rotor position... (Suspect 180° off).. This one can be tricky for sure!..

I'm sorry I just wanna make sure before I do this again, I'm still a beginner when it comes to this stuff, when you say "suspect 180 Degrees" what do you mean by that?

# 1 cylinder has got to be at TDC 'COMPRESSION' stroke.... Simply putting crank on TDC mark doesn't mean it's on the COMPRESSION stroke!.. You got to make sure before distributor is installed...Camshaft rotates 1/2 revolution to every crank revolution so unless engine is at TDC **COMPRESSION** stroke... Dist can be off by (180°) 1/2 revolution... Follow instructions given!

it fired up after I did what you told me , thank you again for the advice, now im getting a code p-0303 cylinder 3 misfire

That's the 2nd spark plug back on drivers side... That one is hard to get at due to the steering shaft and is easy to crack the plug when installing.. Easiest way to get to that plug is remove drivers front wheel and lift the flexible flap up to see plugs... Suspect open or shorted plug wire... Cracked spark plug .. Possible distributor cap issue.

I installed a new cap and rotor, along with plugs
