01 Oldsmobile aurara headlight is out at night... but during the day it works??? Don't understand

Some reason the light goes on during the day but at night my headlight don't come on when I put my headlights on..
I thought the bulb blew so I was about to change it but at the garage the light was working.. But it was during the day... now at night it's not working

You are seeing the DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT when it is day-time .. At night the actual HEADLIGHT must revive voltage from the headlight circuit - that circuit is FUSED..
