I have a 2004 Olds Alero. The blinkers work occasionally. The problem started months ago and the problem has gotten worse the past two months. I wiggled wires in the trunk thinking I had a loose connection but it makes no difference. I never know when they will work and I can't afford to go to an auto repair shop. I do have a friend who will fix the problem if he knows how. Please let us know how he can fix it. Thank you very much!!!

GM has had this problem on all of their N body vehicles of that vintage - which includes Alero. Good luck!
