on this model, i have never seen one seize. keep fluid in the pump till you can get it repaired so you do not damage the rack. thanks for using repairpal Roy

YESSSSS!! My power steering pump started to go and the bearing was making noise and then wham is seized and broke completely.. to check you can take the serpentine belt off and try and turn it....YES IT CAN SEIZE!! god almighty!!! ANYTHING on a pulley and has a bearing (or not) CAN and WILL seize before it brakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
