Water in the oil. Is this a water pump problem or head gasket?

Stop leak stopped problem. Reappeared after 3 weeks and "seems" to get into oil after engine is turned off. Overnight about 1 pint of water in oil by next morning. Car has not overheated in the past for as far as I can remember. I use only synthetic oil

Head gasket is worn out and needs to be replaced.

Water pump! bearing was out and leaking water into the engine through the timing chain cover. I am replacing the head gasket, too as it could use a valve job at this age. This pump is gear driven right off the the front of the engine making a failure an automatic leak into the engine oil.
