I'm pretty sure this vehicle has *stacked* positive battery cables - disconnect the negative cable first - disconnect and *THROUGHLY CLEAN* all surfaces of both positive cables - reconnect and tighten - then clean the negative cable - reconnect and tighten. It is very common to loose connection BETWEEN the two positive cables.
