I was driving my 1998 88 olds and while on the freeway I lost power,now not strt

I have crank no start I just found out there is a recall on my car for fuel pressure regulator I'm hoping that might b e the reason, what is your opinion. Ok so I was driving it and the car would kinda Stutter to pick up speed almost like bad gas or bad sensor. Then I was driving on the freeway and it died. Won't start like it's out of Gas but it's not. So now all it does is sound like it wants to start but isn't getting any gas. I checked the fuses they are all ok. And I'm going to contact the dealer tomorrow morning since it's still an open recall. So the question is how possible is it that it won't start because of the recall issue

yes,there is a recall on the fuel pressure regulator..i don't think you have done any testing to see if it's fuel related or spark related? lots of could bees here! could be fuel pump or regulator.could be MAF Sensor,could be crank sensor? testing is a must,otherwise you'll be guessing at it.plus,you will have to tow it to the dealer which may or may not fix it. then you'll have 2 tow bills instead of one..one other thing,the fuses may look good,but until they are tested with a test light with key on,checking both sides of ALL of them.
