Driving up a mountain road. Car made a thump noise and then wouldn't accelerate
What is your question?
it was like it was stuck in neutral. Check engine light came on. Later was able to drive it a short distance .2 miles but then towed it to Nissan. They say it was bad front hub bearing - diagnosed by putting on rack and accelerating. Said it sounded like front end was going to fall off. My daughter was driving and was out of town on college retreat. Had to leave the car 2 states away. Want to know I'm not being taken advantage of. Said approx $550 to fix. Advice?
