What is your question?
A few days before it would not start, I had to get it jumped off then a few mins after driving it the windshield wipers came on, all the lights lite up on the panel, it didn't have any power at all, I kept mashing the gas but it was struggling to go. We thought the cable wires were loose. Tighten those up, it was ok , next morning, needed jumped off again.. Drove good all day. No problems. That night we left our home, again no power, it didn't want to go, I kept mashing the gas, it would barley go. Once we got home and turned it off, waited a few mins and tried to start it back up but it wouldn't start up again. Tried jumping it off but that just made the battery cables get really hot. Pls help me. Does this mean the transmission is gone???
What makes this problem better or worse?
What " was " making it better was jumping it off or charging the battery but nothing works now. It won't start at all
How long has your 2008 Nissan Xterra had this problem?
A few weeks

During the attempted jump start - the cables were likely connected in reverse polarity - that is what made the battery cables become “really hot†.. There is probably blown fuses as the result .. Very highly recommend contacting auto repair savvy personnel to assist with this problem! It is now more than likely beyond the average DIYer's capability.. Good luck!
