The vehichle may have been low on oil, i have taken care of that now but when i turn the car on it makes a noise as if something has been dropped inside well somewherte in the engine area Should i turn it on again drive around block

When I turn vehicle on I hear a clanking, as if I dropped a lid to a soda bottle inside the engine area. I have put two bottles of oil in.

What makes this problem better or worse?

When in turn it on it makes a loud clanking

Started yesterday, I have since then added oil which I almost didnt catch on time.
