What is your question?
The hood of my car only locks in to the secondary latch but not the primary.
How long has your 2013 Nissan Sentra had this problem?

Spray WD-40 onto / into hood latch - push inward on release handle inside car - close hood - if that doesn't work it may require a little more force. Spray bunches of WD.
Agree with Pushrod. However, has there been any front end impact to the vehicle? Even a "tap" or minor fender bender? If so, it could be kinked just enough to prevent proper function of the latch. Just thinking out loud, as there is very limited information shared, and as a result it becomes really hard to make a good suggestion.
So say my vehicles fine, say I then take my car to get inspected, say it passes, so I go to do an oil change later that day, and boom suddenly the hood doesn’t want to shut, The latch release mechanism locks, but it doesn’t close completely, the primary lock on the frame of the car won’t engage, could a car lift possibly cause that kinda of damage? And if so how would I fix it?
