What is your question?
Just bought the car a yr ago. Made regular oil changes, with last one being 6/24/17. Check engine light came on today and there wasn't any oil.

Who and HOW has it been verified, that there are no leaks? After that, the next choice is consumption, of which there can be several causes. How many miles driven since the June 24 oil change? Has it been scanned for the DTCs, since you said the 'check engine' light came on?
Hello luckycharm402590a36c, What I would do first is to verify that there is no actually leak in the oil system, just to make sure, as that can cause damage to other areas of the vehicle. Their as many different causes of increased oil consumption, but the most common are worn valve guides or worn piston rings. Next time you drive your car, let it idle for a couple minutes, then shut it off, then restart the engine and increase the engine speed, all while observing the exhaust. Generally, if a large amount of black smoke comes right out, it may be the valve guides. If you do the same test and a smaller amount of smoke comes out and continues to be there as you drive, get the piston rings tested. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help!
