Does a 2008 Nissan Sentra SL require a pilot bushing in crankshaft?

What is your question?

Replace 2.0L engine from salvage yard that originally had an automatic transmission. Removed flywheel and clutch assembly from old engine and installed on replacement engine. Did not notice any pilot bushing/bearing on end of crankshaft. Did Nissan Sentra not install a pilot bushing/bearing on this particular model?

No pilot “bearing” - - transmission Input shaft is piloted by the clutch disc hub.

Automatic transmissions do not require a pilot bearing! In this particular case neither does the manual transmission.. Happy motoring!
