Look in the underdash fuse box for a fuse labeled St Sig or Starter Signal. Check to see if it is blown. If it's not blown use a test light to see if you have power on both sides of the fuse when the key is in the "start" position. If the fuse is blown the test light should light up on one side while starting. If it lights up on both sides this is not your problem If neither side of the fuse lights the test light (while starting), you likely have a bad ignition switch (electrical portion). The ECU uses the signal from this fuse to control cold start fuel enrichment and possibly other outputs. Without the signal it will be very hard to start when cold but will run fine as soon as it starts.
Take a look at the spark plugs. Have they ever been replaced? How many miles are on the car?
discribe more on hard to start. cranks but doesn't run or slow cranking?
Changed the cam shaft sensor about twon months ago it ran fine for awhile then went dead.I can get it started after you crank on it for about 30 or 40 times but you burn out the starter by then, after it starts tho it runs fine.It is when the car is cold after you get it warmed up it will start back up.
do you have any eng codes
They are new and it has about 112,000 miles on it.
